Tophill Low – February 12th

Owing to the poor weather forecast, only eight members headed to Tophill Low, with its hides, rather than being caught in cold, wet and windy conditions on the east coast. A selection of duck were seen and the highlights were two redhead Smew. Around 50 species were seen, a low total by normal standards, and we did see a few woodland species including Treecreeper and Goldcrest.
