February’s trip change of date

Paul posted the following on the YorkBirding email group this afternoon:

I’m really sorry about this, but all three of my main weather sources (Met Office, BBC and XC Weather) show winds in the 40 to 50mph range at midday on Sunday. It’s currently 30 to 35mph which feels very blustery and I have very reluctantly come to the conclusion that:-

(a) birdwatching on Sunday in those conditions would be unproductive and unpleasant

(b) parking the cars under the elderly trees at Kirkby Wharfe might not be entirely safe.

Again my sincere apologies for that. What I’m proposing is to move it to next Sunday the 13th. At the moment the forecast for that is much more favourable. Hopefully that will be OK for everyone.
