Ampleforth Hawfinch

Jonathan Pomroy posted the following at lunchtime today:

Great views of a Hawfinch in the [Ampleforth] churchyard this morning. First in surrounding trees then dropping down to yews in the middle. As ever very elusive when feeding.

If you make the trip, might be worth trying for the Great White Egret at Lower Lake, Yearsley still reported this week. Early and late seem to be best.
