Red-rumped Swallow, Cecropis daurica

A spring overshoot from southern Europe that has occurred three times, all in May. Carefully checking flocks of hirundines in early spring is well worth the effort. A record from Healaugh Pond on 7th May 1974 was published by the YOC but the site lies just outside the recording area.
