Red-backed Shrike, Lanius collurio

Local status: Very rare passage migrant

September seems to be the month to locate a Red-backed Shrike in the York area, but records have been scattered, so it is impossible to predict where the next will be found. The two recent records in June are interesting along with an unproven record in 2018.
