Guillemot, Uria aalge
Local status: Very rare passage migrant
Guillemots breed abundantly on the Yorkshire coast and York area records are mainly as a result of stormy weather blowing birds inland. Checking the River Ouse at the south end of the York recording area when large numbers of seabirds are blown into the Humber would be a good option for finding the seventh record of this species.
