Cetti’s Warbler at Wheldrake

Craig Ralston of Natural England reported that a Cetti’s Warbler was discovered when it was caught and ringed at Wheldrake Ings on 31st Oct. Another was caught and ringed in the valley on the morning of 3rd November – so definitely one to listen out for this autumn/winter.

A single Short-eared Owl present yesterday morning hunting around Bank Island and 100 Pink-footed Geese are also present in the area.
